    FAG continued it expansion plan to open a new office in New Zealand with warehouse facilities located in Penrose, an industrial area in the city of Auckland, southeast of the city centre.

    INA Australia won an order to supply Hydraulic Lash Adjusters, and Rocker Arm cam roller bearings to Ford Australia for the Falcon SOHC engine.

    CBC sold their share in INA Bearings Australia to INA Germany and INA Bearings Australia Pty Ltd became fully owned by INA Germany.

    INA relocated to leased premises in South Hurstville, a regional centre located just 15 kilometres to the south west of Sydney’s CBD.

    Weber Group (CBC family) bought Saeco Bearings and Transmission in New Zealand. INA Australia began to supply Saeco Bearings, to expand business within the New Zealand market.

    Increasing demand for INA Product range, in addition to a complete selection of new components and technology, required INA to open a new service centre in Melbourne, Victoria.

This Competence Centre specialist develops solutions for Grinding Mill applications Worldwide; the original location was in Moorabbin, Melbourne on the premises of an FAG distributor, RBC. The roots of this Competence Centre can be traced back almost 30 years.

    FAG Australia became a Quality accredited company to ISO 9002 standards and was granted preferred supplier status with their many and diverse customers.

    Emerging Australian bearing requirements for the mining industry in Queensland compelled FAG to strengthen its engineering services by opening the first office in Brisbane.

    INA Demolished building at Taren Point and rebuilt totally new premises on the same site to increased efficiency in manufacture of Rocker Arms for the Ford Falcon and provide ability to increase production activities.

    FAG Australia moved to new premises and as a result of the parent company being taken over by INA Schaeffler AG, the warehouse operation was moved to INA’s premises in Taren Point in Sydney’s South.

    2003

    FAG Australia moved to new premises and as a result of the parent company being taken over by INA Schaeffler AG, the warehouse operation was moved to INA’s premises in Taren Point in Sydney’s South. Moving the warehouse was one of the biggest challenges for the company, this event tested FAG’s employees project management skills.

    INA’s employees moved to the FAG premises in Sydney’s North as part of the Schaeffler Group’s strategic Integration plan, at the same time in history, due to the rapid expansion of the Grinding Mill Division and as a result of request for representation on a Global basis, the FAG Grinding Mill Division moved to Balwyn, North of Melbourne and changed it’s name into ASB Grinding Mills Competence Centre soon after the move.

    INA’s employees moved to the FAG premises in Sydney’s North as part of the Schaeffler Group’s strategic Integration plan, at the same time in history, due to the rapid expansion of the Grinding Mill Division and as a result of request for representation on a Global basis, the FAG Grinding Mill Division moved to Balwyn, North of Melbourne and changed it’s name into ASB Grinding Mills Competence Centre soon after the move.

    The Schaeffler Group acquired Bearing Engineering Services Pty Ltd (BES), one of Australia’s two leading reconditioning companies for railway wheel set and industrial bearings, with locations in Sydney and Perth.

    The Schaeffler Group acquired Bearing Engineering Services Pty Ltd (BES), one of Australia’s two leading reconditioning companies for railway wheel set and industrial bearings, with locations in Sydney and Perth.

    The Schaeffler Group strengthened its FAG Industrial Services (F’IS) team in Australia through the acquisition of Condition Monitoring Services Australia Pty Ltd (CMSA)).

    The Schaeffler Group strengthened its FAG Industrial Services (F’IS) team in Australia through the acquisition of Condition Monitoring Services Australia Pty Ltd (CMSA)).

    By the end of the year CMSA market penetration strategies reached New Zealand, operating from existing Schaeffler Group premises.

    INA & FAG moved together, both companies started operating under one roof to get the synergy from a complementary product range. The company services a dealer network in all states and territories of Australia and New Zealand.

    Schaeffler moved to Belrose in December 2018.
    Schaeffler Australia moved from a traditional office to a well-lit, eco-friendly and open plan office. We designed a modern and inviting kitchen & staff area for wellbeing and a space for staff enjoyment.

    2023

    This year marked the 50th year of Schaeffler operating in Australia. It was also the year that the Australian team welcomed Mr. Schaeffler on his first visit to the country and Schaeffler's head office in Australia. Mr. Schaeffler's personal visit provided a valuable opportunity for employees to connect with the company's leadership and gain firsthand insights into the company's global vision.
