Schaeffler Australia and its Bearing Engineering Service division (BES) will be exhibiting at AusRAIL 2017, stand 429, three key elements of the rail technology suite applicable to passenger, freight, transport, mining and other resources and bulk handling industries that depend on rail. The technologies include the FAG high capacity TAROL (class K) tapered roller bearing, bearing reconditioning services and hybrid and insulated bearings. 2017-08-20 Mancrodur high performance steel - improved bearing technology for rail applications

Compared with standard materials, Mancrodur's load-carrying capacity is approximately 30% higher. As a result, the nominal rating life of Mancrodur is more than twice as long. Increased load capacities and a substantially lower total cost of ownership (TCO) result from the greater surface hardness but, critically, also combined with improved ductility.
