During processing, silicon rods soon come into contact with a saw, for example a keyhole saw. This is where you can also find four-row miniature linear ball bearing and guideway assemblies KUME from INA.
Conditions in the feed area of wafer saws are harsh. Slurry, a mixture of silicon carbide and grease required for cutting, impairs the life of all the components involved. Just as well, then, that INA supplies KUME as standard in a corrosion-resistant design.
There are plenty of other good good reasons, however, to select INA miniature guidance systems for wafer saws: high rigidity and precision, uniformly low displacement resistance and favourable lubrication via the end pieces.
