- braking without external energy
- available for linear recirculating roller- and ball bearing and guideway assemblies
- are used for drives which require an additional braking or locking element
- save expensive and time-consuming work on preparing dedicated braking systems
- can also be used as an emergency braking system
- have a high static retaining force (e.g. for BKE TSX 35, about 3 000 N)
- have a reaction time of <30 ms at full breaking force
- have breaking plates set for clearance-free contact
- are particularly suitable for linear motors in any mounting position
